She received further training with fellowships in interventional spinal care at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and in stem cell therapies at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Salam also completed postdoctoral research fellowships, culminating in pulmonary critical care at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts, and the role of infectious agents in autism at the University of California, Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California. She’s board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
