Pain management allows for conservative treatments, including physical therapy, self-exercise, oral anti-inflammatories, and possibly spinal injections. Treatment methods may include the following:

  • Spinal injections (selective nerve root blocks: diagnostic and therapeutic, transforaminal injections)
  • Radiofrequency rhizotomy
  • Percutaneous disc decompression (treatment for disc herniation without surgery)
  • Lumbar discogram
  • Sacroiliac joint injections and for long term relief sacroiliac joint nerve ablation
  • Piriformis injections
  • Occipital nerve ablation
  • Peripheral nerve stimulation for chronic axial back pain
  • Dorsal column stimulator ( spinal cord stimulator) for patient who have failed back  surgery or not a candidate for surgery
